Amy: Beyond the Stage
Beyond the Stage is a behind-the-scenes look at the process of writing and recording the beloved artist's songs, as well as some of his famous ensembles and his renowned instrument. A dramatic frame of notes can be seen floating from a swarm of love hearts surrounding the sheet, with names such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, along with other early drafts of her. The more moving relics, however, can be located elsewhere: Supporters reported that the street signs in Camden Square, north London, were volumes of condolences painted with graffiti from the day of her death in July 2011.
The show concludes with the obligatory "immersive experience," a semicircular secular space showing footage of Shepherd's Bush Empire's 2007 performance Tears Dry on Their Own (imagined as New York's Joe's Pub jazz club), the distorted footage in an impressionist, paints a dream landscape that is beautiful, euphoric and euphoric and spooky at the same time.
Amy Whorehouse is no longer immortalized through her music of hers, she was a talented 27-year-old lady who is no longer with us, and it's a heartbreaking conclusion. It is also a tribute to the mysteries of death that the longer it lives, the brighter its glow becomes.
